One thing that comes to mind about these dem protests is the difference between Raising Awareness and Doing Something. Raising Awareness, while an important precursor to Doing Something, doesn't actually tangibly help the group of people (or society or whatever) you're trying to help.

1. A new Texas bill outright criminalizes being transgender as felony fraud. It is one of the most alarming bills that I have ever seen.
Though it stands little chance of passage, its rationale is already being used in other places and by the trump admin.

Medicare is under attack, too. Many seniors cannot physically travel easily. This new policy is cruel to inflict upon them and will increase burdens on doctors and nurses.

Montana's Senate Judiciary is hearing a bill that would impose a 25 year statute of limitations on ADULT trans care.
It could result in a ban of all trans care in Montana given that physicians would be uninsurable - normal statute for medical care is 2 years.
