It's Friday, I'm in love with the table of contents for Saros SF #5! We have such a wonderful variety of strange, lovely, and thought-provoking stories to share with readers of our Sound/Silence issue, and I couldn't be more proud to work with these fantastic writers on my first foray into editing 🖤

We’re interested in receiving applications for various lengths of SFF & dreamy realism projects, including:

Whoof, brutal day in publishing news. I was so proud to have a few little essays published on the Psychopomp blog before my brain broke too badly to keep writing them, and I'm sad to see Sean & co. having to scale back operations now. A lot of beautiful words came into view through this endeavour 🖤

(1) kudos to ben for transparency, v important; (2) i'm old enough to remember in April when MRM told SFWA the merchandising clause was an "error." yet they keep soft toying w/it and seeing if there are takers. i get ben made a personal call, but short fic writers should know, this is not standard.

Even just in the ~5 years I've been submitting, it's gotten noticeably harder to find open, appropriate markets when I've got something to submit. It's a hard game, and one I frequently wonder if I still want to play (but then I get an idea and have to write it down and then I have a story, so...).
