An inevitable stand-off created by this Court’s distorted interpretation of the 14th Amendment to require colorblindness. How can a legislature could draw districts that don’t violate the Voting Rights Act w/o looking at race? It can’t be done. But the Court’s rightwing could not care less.

This is an object lesson in the importance of force and violence in politics. ICE is able to flaunt the law because they're willing to use both. Until members of Congress start showing up with breaching teams and armed security, the law is irrelevant. Just a piece of paper.
What are they hiding? You don’t get to slam the door on a Member of Congress during a routine ICE visit. I’ve toured this facility before—so why am I suddenly a “security risk”? My team requested permission. They had no right to deny us. They’re clearly afraid of accountability.
