Official account of Congressman Steven Horsford. Proudly representing the people of Nevada’s Fourth Congressional District. #NV04 #ForThePeople
The Fed Chair’s job is to be independent; that’s how our economy stays stable. Jerome Powell served under four administrations without political interference, and now suddenly it’s “incorrect”?
You can’t corrupt a system just because it doesn’t cater to your politics.

A federal court ruled the Trump administration illegally blocked billions in clean energy funding. When clean energy is stalled, Nevada families pay more on their utility bills and workers lose good-paying jobs.
We should be lowering costs and creating jobs — not standing in the way.

Today we honor the birth and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — a leader who reminded us that our lives should be measured by how we serve others.
“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
May we continue his work by choosing justice, compassion, and service every day.

I introduced the bipartisan FULL HOUSE Act to restore fairness for Nevada’s gaming community. Right now, an unfair tax change means people can be taxed on gambling losses they never actually kept. That hurts our workers, our visitors, and our economy.

Tipped workers earn every dollar they make.

House Republicans want to weaken the rules that protect them, even though the sub-minimum wage hasn’t changed in decades.

If your paycheck depends on tips, this bill puts you at risk.

It’s not a worker protection act — it’s a corporate giveaway.

Inflation may look different on paper, but Americans are still paying more at the checkout line. Broad tariffs act like a regressive tax and put the burden on working families. We need an economy that lowers costs, not redirects costs to consumers.

I have long said our economy needs clarity and fairness, not confusion and hidden costs. That’s why I teamed up with Rep. Miller to create the only bipartisan framework for crypto tax rules, the Digital Asset Parity Act.
Miller, Horsford float crypto tax bill
Reps. Max Miller (R-Ohio) and Steven Horsford (D-Nev.) are circulating draft text of their new digital asset tax bill.

: Republicans want to “own” health care, but there’s no real plan, just political games. This isn’t about politics, it’s about Nevadans’ ability to see a doctor, fill a prescription, and keep their coverage when they need it most.
Trump tells GOP it’s time to ‘own’ health care while urging ‘flexibility’ on abortion restrictions
The president argued that rising health care costs, particularly prescription drug prices, had given Republicans an opening to compete with Democrats on affordability.

Nevadans know affordability isn’t just about gas prices. Utility costs are rising, and families feel it every month when they go to pay their bills. We need real relief by lowering costs, protecting consumers, and building an economy that works for Nevada families.

I’ve been sounding the alarm for months as Wall Street drives up housing costs for Nevada families. If the President is serious about addressing this crisis, the solution is already on the table. It’s time to support my bill, the HOME Act and pass real housing accountability into law.
