I don't find it all surprising that there's widespread public sympathy for a charismatic criminal who killed someone unsympathetic, I just don't think it's that interesting or tells us much about society except that people enjoy transgressive bloodshed.
I mean, terminally online zoomers and also people literally in jail for crime — the point I think people (or at least I) try to make is that most regular folks think what he did was wrong
