From the perspective of this dynamic, the quiet doesn’t mean it’s over.

It means they’re plotting what they see as their revenge for perceived betrayal. That entails working behind the scenes to isolate the other and enlisting allies to serve as their “flying monkeys” and go on the attack for them.

A constant sense of danger
We need to talk more about how it feels to be a woman amidst this sudden onslaught of “reclaiming masculinity,” celebrating male aggression and violence, and vanishing smart experienced women from positions of power.

#BREAKING: #SCOTUS issues order holding "in abeyance" President Trump's application to let him fire Hampton Dellinger until next Wednesday (when the temporary restraining order keeping Dellinger in place expires).

In other words, a significant (and short-lived) punt.

SCt puts off (for now) ruling on POTUS power to remove head of Office of Special Counsel w/o cause (as law requires). On balance, a fine move by the SCt - not intervening in the case at a procedurally extremely early stage. But scant clue on ultimate outcome. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

This new EO is a doozy, clearly written to test the constitutionality of independent agencies at the SCt. It purports to effectively bring all independent agencies - including the Fed Election Cmsn and the Fed (in part) under presidential control. Irreconcilable w/existing law full stop. /1
ATTN: Since the White House only posted the Fact Sheet of his ~only the president and AG can say what the law is~ EO, I moved the email of the actual EO, which was sent to the press list from the Office of Communications, into a PDF and posted it.
NEW: Here is Trump's executive order purporting to end the independence of multi-member head independent agencies. www.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

Now that musk is saying he’s doing the DOGE stuff “because the globalists have plotted a Great Replacement in which they use government handouts to buy votes from illegal immigrants and urban blacks” maybe we don’t have to act like this is about deficits or cost cutting anymore

The question of whether Trump has the authority to push Dellinger out without good reason is an early test of how the conservative Supreme Court, with three Trump nominees, will respond to the president’s efforts to systematically reshape the bureaucracy.

If you thought it wasn’t possible—well, here we are. Musk pulled $80 million in funding authorized by Congress straight from NYC’s bank account. The federal government took the funds and called it a “clawback” of taxpayer money. A lot of others would simply call it stealing.

This is just sheer brazen criminality by DOJ. Adams gets federal corruption charges dropped not because there isn’t overwhelming evidence, but because he agrees to help Homan round up migrants. And Homan says the charges will be refiled if Adams doesn’t “come through.”
