Blows my mind that Tacitus’ Annals only survived thanks to a single manuscript. Or rather two. The only copy of the first half was saved in a monastery in Germany and the only copy of the second half was in Monte Cassino. That’s how fine the thread that links us to our history.

There needs to be some sort of conversation about how much they show when there's a medical emergency during a football game. They just showed a man quite clearly having a form of seizure on the hungary bench.
