At SEM I heard amazing stories of people discovering the lost stories of their ancestors. I thought of my own family’s photos of musicians whose names are long forgotten. I’m no-contact and my name will eventually be lost on their lips too. I wonder how many were queer, how many we no longer hear.

RuPaul give me the strength to get this article done. I’m converting a dissertation chapter for publication and the genre difference makes me almost want to start over completely.

I know that when you’re sending out job applications it’s important to not get too attached since there’s so many variables out of your control, but I honestly keep falling in love every time I research more to see how I could fit in and complement/expand ongoing work.

Over the years I've felt a bit extra with my aversion to getting wet in the rain (or sweating) compared to my friends. Well, it rained a couple days ago, and now that I have hair again, I see why it's not such a fuss! Before, it was simply rolling down my bald head and face 😂

“Unprovoked”?! We can condemn violence “on all sides” until we are blue in the face and it still doesn’t take away the decades of Occupation and forcing people to live in an open-air prison.

Found a gem in an old term paper. I was still coming to terms with my queerness and nightclubs at the time, and I asked if "my eyelash volume amplified 3x [could] drown out the buffeting of my heart's dissonant pulse." Surprise: 1 year later I came out as non-binary and had open heart surgery.
