Hi guys, did you already know there are competitions for window tinting? With better commentators than most of the tennis matches I’ve watched on ESPN? (Low bar I know)

Anyway if you need to procrastinate harder than you’ve ever procrastinated before, I got you

OK, fine, I'll allow it. It's too fortuitous.

So popular all of a sudden, but I’ve been following the NDS for years. 👀

Netherland Design System (NDS): nldesignsystem.nl

(Yes, I know they use the acronym NLDS. That’s the joke, as they say.)

This story is beautiful.
funny story, I signed up for personal training at a local gym and was assigned a former NFL linebacker as a trainer

giant man, covered in tattoos, big muscles, loud voice

I am someone who just… doesn’t have a particularly well-assembled body

How has everyone forgotten their literal job title is "public servant"?

I don’t usually do this, but I recently answered a blatant scam call (in part to determine the schtick). And once I’d gotten what I wanted out of it, I found it was refreshing to say to someone:

“you know you’re bullshit, right?”

Kinda wish I could say that in more situations.

One of the things you learned at 18F and USDS is that government isn’t like a business: it has to serve everybody and not just specific market segments that are the most convenient.

Every time someone tells me to use fewer em dashes ⸻ I bring out Big Bertha.
That's how you can tell human authors from AI.

AI will put in some em dashes, then apologise and take them out when told off.

Human authors will climb the filing cabinet, hissing, and defend their right to em dashes with a loaded stapler.
Em dashes, like anything, should be used in moderation. Check first with your editor if em dashes are right for you. 😉

Wikipedia have changed the label on one of the buttons.

Something that strikes me is that the ticket was opened in 2016.

I’m also sure some people are pissed about this minor change

It's international nonbinary day. A plea to remember nonbinary means a lot of things. We have a very set idea culturally of what nonbinary looks like--white, thin, perhaps dandyish--and so many friends present that way! But many more don't, and aren't, those things. Free your mind of pigeonholes.

tbh what being nonbinary gets me is mostly just this shiftless feeling of not belonging anywhere, but also knowing without any doubt that that is where I belong. gender is a costume that I wear very well and that's about it haha

A deep-rumble motorcycle just started up nearby. As it and its driver took off down the street, they absolutely blasted the neighborhood with the chorus of "Since You Been Gone."
