Dr Markland was kind to me and especially when our daughter died. He was truly a very rare human being. He worked in ICU at an Edmonton Hospital. Winter was hardest for him as homeless people came in with severe damage to their legs from the cold. Lots of amputations. He rode a bike every day.

Maybe the decision makes sense on paper, but in reality there aren’t many crimes as repugnant, damaging, and worthy of the heavy hammer of justice.
