NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

Unbelievable.

Hurricane Melissa could be one of the most worst hurricanes on record for Jamaica...and it's a textbook example of how climate change is making hurricanes more dangerous: explosive intensification, slow movement, and massive rainfall.

If you know any there, please make sure they’re prepared 🙏

America cannot long remain free, nor first among nations, if it becomes the kind of place where universities are dismantled because they don't align politically with the current head of the government.

Massive props to @hankgreen.bsky.social here.

We (cough, cough, you know who) are undoing the slow, unsexy scientific progress that has kept more Americans from dying.

Very much applies to better weather forecasting, so 8000 people don't die in hurricanes anymore (like Galveston in 1900).

Two days remain to comment on the US FWS and NMFS rule change that undermines the Endangered Species Act (ESA). This proposal rescinds the definition of “harm,” limiting protections to actions that directly injure or kill listed species, leaving their habitats vulnerable. Please submit comments! 🧪

I’m tired of @msnbc.com anchors perpetuating the message that Dems aren’t doing the work or that it’s not possible to find what they’re doing.

I think I need to be interviewed but the only way that’s gonna happen is if they are aware of me.

If you think I should be on their shows let them know!

Public lands need to be protected!
Katharine MacGregor, Trump's nominee to be Deputy Secretary of the Interior, is eager to sell off public lands to corporate interests.

During the last Trump admin she spent her time helping oil and gas companies destroy public lands.

Now she's ready to do it again.

Texas is home to the third-most federal workers in the country—and now Trump wants to gut their union protections, along with those of hundreds of thousands more. Absolutely not. I stand with our workers and their right to organize.
