According to the most recent USDA data available, as of 2023, white people make up 35.4% of SNAP recipients, African Americans 25.7%, Hispanic people 15.6%, Asian people 3.9%, Native Americans 1.3%, and multiracial people 1.0%. The race of about 17% of participants is listed as unknown.
