A good reminder that most social media is just fake bullshit that is making money off of you.
America’s Polarization Has Become the World's Side Hustle

I'm glad this issue is getting national attention, but this story is largely a recap of what Oregon media has been reporting for years.

The big hook — data centers are accelerating nitrate pollution — is mostly sourced from a single former DEQ employee. I'd love to see more context than that.
How Oregon’s Data Center Boom Is Supercharging a Water Crisis

Amazon has come to the state’s eastern farmland, worsening a water pollution problem that’s been linked to cancer and miscarriages.

Monica is one of the hardest working reporters I’ve ever worked with. That she has to work a second job to stay afloat is a shame our leaders need to correct.

As the nation focused on New York City’s mayoral election and gubernatorial races in New Jersey & Virginia, there was an intergenerational movement of Black people, particularly millennial women, in small cities & rural towns shaking up local elections, too.

I'm always struck by how much KMHD means to its listeners, not just in Portland but across the Northwest.

The people you hear on the radio run nearly every aspect of the organization. They punch above their weight, but they shouldn't have to.
