Opinions don't much matter in science; facts do. Or rather, opinions when tested can become the dominant hypothesis in science. Science is still about convincing lots of other scientists that you are right but you have to show why you think you are right. In politics you can just wave your arms
If you are also a scientist, sure. If you aren't, like these guys, you should probably shut the fuck up and let the people whose opinions matter talk.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon
