Life as a food delivery worker: ‘Sometimes men open the door naked’
To earn a living as a delivery rider, some work 10-12 hour days, contending with low pay, exhaustion, accidents, injuries and harassment. Is this a new form of modern slavery?

Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated

no I’m not surprised, just imagining (among other things) an opposition party that took this population seriously and devoted itself over the many years it would take to make this country actually livable for them
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
Record Numbers of Younger Women Want to Leave the U.S.
The percentage of younger women in the U.S. who express a desire to migrate permanently has surged in the past decade.

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

This is incredible. King County elections is now saying they have 45,000 ballots left to count. If Wilson gets exactly the same margin of those as she got today she'll take the lead by... 20 votes!

Gonna need to figure out how to get progressives to vote earlier next time because this swing in results every day is too much for my anxiety

in light of sandwich guy I am contractually obligated to remind you that jurors can always prevent a conviction by choosing to say "not guilty" 🙂

the power to refuse to convict is espech important rn given the Trump admin's rampant criminalization and repression of dissent (and other freedoms, too)
today in news that makes me say 'wait I have something for this'

specifically p. 203-207 of The Originalism Trap, where I discuss jury nullification
