@joeabercrombie.com 18 years ago I wrote a terribly naive review of Best Served Cold, but now I’m thoroughly enjoying The Devils so much (especially with Steven Pacey’s narration)

This is a Pixar movie. The little moon (Sabrina Carpenter) comes in to work-shadow the veteran actual moon (Meryl Streep). Streep is grumpy about it for the film’s first thirty mins. But by the end they’re inseparable and when 2083 comes we cry. While also learning about the need to let someone go.

When it comes to habits and ADHD, starting ridiculously small has REALLY worked for me. I started with “write 1 word a day for two weeks” and now I’m up to 100 words a day! When before I’d barely written anything outside of work!

Is there anything better on a Saturday morning than some cat cuddles??

I’m really loving Date Everything but I swear to gosh if it crashes right after ANOTHER long dialogue I’m going to throw my switch out a window.

Just saw the newest superman and HOW did it manage to be so knowing and cutting and also sweet and earnest? Loved the return to earnest idealistic Supes

I rented a DVD to Nathan Fillion’s brother when I worked at Blockbuster
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Its wild that the Pope's brother just lives in Chicago as a normal dude, telling NBC news that his bro likes playing Wordle

I have many many thoughts on Dragon Age Veilguard. It was so (pleasantly) evocative of previous games in the series - the narrative focus/story framing of DA2, the factions/backstory of DAO, the grandeur of DAI—with Mass Effect 2’s Suicide Mission thrown in to eviscerate my emotions

@briannebattye.bsky.social just finished Veilguard today. That ENDING! Just wanted to tell you how much I loved the narrative and all the characters!

@trickweekes.bsky.social if you will permit me to gush embarrassingly, Dragon Age Veilguard’s narrative was utterly phenomenal. Just finished it today.

I still need to remind myself to post on here, but I’m getting better at it. I’ve been getting really into colouring lately:

I have many problems with the Catholic Church as an institution, but my upbringing was blessed with enough legitimately kind and loving Catholics that I’ll always have an affection for it. Pope Francis was (comparatively) one of the kindest, realest leaders of the church.

Imagine being so bad at Catholicism that you get holy ghosted by the Pope.

Which animal on Earth do you think is the "deadliest" in terms of the largest number of people killed in human history?

I’m not finished Dragon Age Veilguard yet, but there’s so much to love about it. All the party members are interesting. Easy fast travel. Getting to explore locations and cultures only referenced in other games. Petting the cats. Tipping the street performers. Having a fat Rook.

Depressed random midnight thoughts: if there was Universal Basic Income, would employers fight to keep us rather than the other way around?
