Some landscapes in FF9, it's a shame we don't get those often. It allows to see the geography of Gaia in a more detailed way than the world map does.

Rocky terrain in Pinnacle Rocks, Lindblum can be seen afar.

Conde Petie, a village inside a stone structure lying on giant roots, it seems sturdy and thick enough to shield from the blazing sun, the land around looks arid.

A lookout point in Esto Gaza, Shimmering Island can be seen in the distance surrounded by cold sea.

A precarious looking bridge near South Gate, the plains at the foot of Treno's plateau can be seen, a river meandering through it.

Famitsu has an Ace Combat 8 interview, and it also includes important tidbits about the composer team:
AC8 will have Ryo Watanabe & Mitsuhiro Kitadani as the main composers, but Keiki Kobayashi is also still part of the team

河野　PVで流れたのは本作のメインテーマです。じつは後半の盛り上がりはまさに調整と演出調整の真っ最中なんです。トレイラーの曲はとても重要な場面でかかるのですが、あと数曲、『ACE8』を代表する曲があります。

　サウンドチームに関しては、今回渡辺（※）、北谷（※）を中心としながら、小林さんをはじめとするシリーズの名曲を生み出してきたスタッフが揃っています。楽曲はいつも最後の最後まで苦労します。「これだ！」と思うまで入れ換えやアレンジ変えなど、ずっと続くので。プレイヤーの皆様に、最高の感動をお届けするために尽力しているところです。

Kono: The one played at the trailer is the Main Theme for this game. Actually, the buildup on the latter part is still in the midst of adjustments with the staging. Trailer tracks will be placed at important scenes, but there are also a few more tracks that will represent AC8.

As for the Sound Team, while Watanabe* and Kitadani* are in the focus this time, the staff members who produced famous tracks throughout the series—starting with Kobayashi-san—have gathered. The tracks are always being worked on until the very last moment. Until I feel “This is it!”, the replacements and rearrangements will always go on. We endeavor to deliver the best impressions to all the players.
