Some pictures of Terra, coming close to the end now, I'll complete some sidequests, get some cool weapons and head to Memoria.

Back with some FF9, I took some time off gaming on CRT during the last month and a half to play some more recent games.
Here's a few pictures of Ipsen's Castle, it gives medieval and early modern castle vibes with its large rooms filled with natural light.

Visited some more cosy spots, Esto Gaza and Daguerreo are favourites of mine. You got dimmed lights and shelter from cold weather in the first, and plenty of books in the second.
Inside Esto Gaza, the place looks like a temple, only lit by altar candles and torches. The music is nice too. Inside Esto Gaza, the circular counter of a shop is surrounded by candles and torches. Daguerreo, a mysterious place full of waterworks and books, it seems funny to me as I know books and water don't go well together but hey it's a fantasy world... Some landscapes in FF9, it's a shame we don't get those often. It allows to see the geography of Gaia in a more detailed way than the world map does.

Rocky terrain in Pinnacle Rocks, Lindblum can be seen afar. Conde Petie, a village inside a stone structure lying on giant roots, it seems sturdy and thick enough to shield from the blazing sun, the land around looks arid. A lookout point in Esto Gaza, Shimmering Island can be seen in the distance surrounded by cold sea. A precarious looking bridge near South Gate, the plains at the foot of Treno's plateau can be seen, a river meandering through it.

Went treasure hunting in FF9 again and then resumed the journey, Oeilvert and the Desert Palace this time.
The lost city of Oeilvert. This room is lit by a huge stained grass letting through the light of a sunset. It felt a weird choice of a name to me as in french oeil means eye and vert means green. The name in the french localisation is just Euyevair which is pronounced the same but does not mean anything by itself. The Lost City of Oeilvert. Vivi and Zidane in Cleyra's Inn, the room mostly made out of wood feels comforting Zidane and Garnet in bunk beds, talking at night in Black Mage village's Inn, there's a light giving a gentle glow in the other room Ruby's theatre in Alexandria, she's sitting in a corner of the room lost in her thoughts while Marcus, Blank and Cinna are standing by the stage. I always thought Ruby's hair was blue and that she wore some kind of grey hat but that's actually the opposite. She's cute either way :) Alexandria's synthesis shop, there's plenty of tools, weapons and crates

The Iifa Tree, I noticed that with the perspective and its perceived scale compared to the characters in the frame, it looks like a nuclear mushroom cloud. And the green glow inside reminds the way radioactive material is shown in pop culture. It might fit the role that giant tree plays in the game.

Stopped by the village of summoners, Madain Sari. The nice earth tones make the ruins strangely warm, like a quiet sunset.

Visited Conde Petie and Black Mage Village.
I find Black Mage Village so bittersweet with its cheerful synth theme while some Black Mages and Vivi discuss their finite existence.

Happy 25th anniversary to NA release of FF9 ! As usual we Europeans had to wait a few months more to put our hands on it, but it was worth the patience.
Got a few pictures of Pinnacle Rocks and Fossil Roo. Soon to follow, some Outer Continent locations.

After some treasure hunting on chocobo's back, the journey goes on. I love the style of Burmecia with beautiful coloured mosaics and nacre, makes me wish we could see more of the place before it's ravaged
