Problem with making a Big Short-type movie about this recession is the entire plot would be, “The President of the United States kept saying things very clearly and nobody believed him or listened to him because he’s dumb and it was inconvenient,” and that’s barely worth Margot Robbie taking a bath.
Nobody knows how this is all going to play out. Maybe the stock market drop spooks Trump into backing off. Maybe the Fed cuts a lot and housing booms. But if you're my age and have kids/a mortgage, it's worth thinking about how you'd handle a recession, the prospect of job loss, etc.
