Three trays of cookies finished!

Considering this was my first time making royal icing AND decorating cookies, I'm quite proud.

And, yes, I had proper supervision the entire time.

My dad was always doodling little cartoon creatures. I thought they were fun, and I wanted to create my own.

He encouraged me, of course.

Same as he did when I started writing down the stories I made up on long car rides.

He told me I could do whatever I wanted.
