Sick of the far right politics and childishness abundant on the former bird app.
We need Janey Godley back on this mortal coil.

It's been obvious since January 6 that he was an enemy of the USA, the UK & the whole of the free world. Everybody still in his camp understands this as completely as everybody against it. They just prioritise personal interest over the national & international. And they know it. They all know it.

Praise for the war criminal, a punishment beating for Zelensky.

Same.

A few overzealous right-wing blue-tickers and the entirety of the Russian State Duma are pretty much the only people that can actually defend what just happened.
February 28, 2025 at 7:34 PM
This is the exact opposite of what just happened, btw.

Fuck (and I cannot stress this enough) JD Vance.

I’ve never in my life witnessed a head of state treat another with such contempt and such a flagrant disregard for diplomacy.

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe Zelenskyy. A true hero.

Trump and Vance are odious, treacherous little shits. The sooner America is rid of them the better.

I haven’t seen a single convincing argument against the Assisted Dying Bill that ultimately does not go full circle and come back to religion in some way.

Couldn’t have described it better myself.

There’s now a performative backlash against the #jaguar advert for being “too woke”. Give me strength.

Another advantage of Bluesky is that I get to keep on top of current events without any demented far right discourse following it.

The nadir of Twitter for me wasn’t the election of Trump, it was the endless blue tick account AI weirdos farming engagement on ridiculous tweets. The day Inverness Caley Thistle sacked their manager was a particularly dark day in that regard.

The hardest thing to get used to about Bluesky is not getting nasty replies from people who don’t know the difference between ‘your’ and ‘you’re’.

There are very few far right accounts on BlueSky.

So if you block the likes of Nigel Farage, Tommy Robinson, Laurence Fox, GB News etc. as soon as they show up, they'll find it very hard to gain traction.

(They're counting on the network effect of YOUR outrage. Don't give them the satisfaction.)

Obviously time will tell, but there seems to be a respectable level of engagement on here unlike Threads (which was dead in the water as soon as it launched) and X where engagement is farmed like an agricultural centre in the USSR.

Never been so excited to be in a fairly closed ideology echo chamber 😭

It’s nice to be somewhere without OF promos and dodgy politics.
