I'm mostly here as a kind of 'yellow pages' entry, so people can find and network with me if they want to.
...and to occasionally journal my thoughts and musings.

I have little interest in the bread and circuses of social media culture.
Made the mistake of tuning into the Doge Senate hearing, and then made the much, MUCH bigger mistake of opening the live chat...
It's just an absolute f****** BRO-NADO in there.

Like, the Dunning-Kruger effect is palpable.

The same week that Elon Musk baselessly called Social Security a "Ponzi scheme," his co-president Donald Trump announced that he wants to create a national crypto reserve.

This could result in taxpayer dollars being used to prop up an actual Ponzi scheme.

The GOP passed a budget resolution tonight that will gut Medicaid, SNAP, and other vital programs — as 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.

Why? To finance more tax cuts for the top 1%.

We have socialism in this country for the rich, harsh capitalism for everyone else.

After Trump embraced crypto, Coinbase gave millions to PACs backing pro-Trump candidates.

After Trump's win, they gave $1M to his inaugural and listed his meme coin.

Now, Trump's SEC has dropped a major lawsuit against Coinbase.

A grassroots movement is calling on all Americans to abstain from shopping with major retailers tomorrow, February 28, as part of an “economic blackout.”

Yup. The exact same thing is true at the greater municipal level. Urban centers subsidize financially insoluble suburbs. Suburbs that were only bankrolled in the first place because of New growth incentive programs.

I remember growing up in the "neoliberalism is common sense" 90s and watching movies like RoboCop. I remember thinking how cartoonishly evil and satirical they made capitalism look.

I now wake up everyday of my life in a Verhoven movie...

I jumped on for a minute today and saw two people I follow, from very different parts of the left-sphere, each bickering at the other about how they're the problem and they want nothing to do with each other.

Gee whiz, I hope the work camps at least have that bad cafeteria Pizza on Fridays...

But first, we have to change some things. Starting with how we view housing in the first place.
