Maybe not THE strongest, but one of my favorite theater experiences remains going to see the live-action Beauty and the Beast. During the scene when Gaston falls to his death, the theater is dead silent, and one little girl calls out “Haha! Suckerrr!”
Got me thinking.. What's the strongest reaction you've seen an audience member have to a scene in a cinema?

During the birthday party scene in SIGNS I saw a whole row of young women literally throw their popcorn in the air like a cartoon.
Someone in my audience had a very audible negative reaction to the dog scene in TOGETHER. So that was fun!

For real, but at minimum don't buy any digital thing you can't download and play on whatever method you choose. And really, physical media not only protects your access it helps preserve culture from a tech and business culture increasingly hostile to the very idea that human creativity is special.
I'm sorrrrrry for being a broken record but just... don't buy digital movies.
Microsoft has ended digital sales of movies — and previous purchases are not transferable or refundable.

"Select" titles can be accessed via Movies Anywhere.

For the rest, digital "owners" have to hope that Microsoft won't decommission its Movies & TV app.

Because we still need fun discussions, here’s one for #FilmSky: is there a movie that you always, without fail, forget has a certain actor in it? For example, every single time I watch Miss Congeniality 2, I go “Oh damn that’s right, Nick Offerman is in this!”

I was specifically looking for a coworkers review of a film so I searched their name plus the title of the movie. Google AI spat out a result saying that said coworker WROTE the movie in question. Honestly just throw it all out.
One thing I've noticed with Google's AI is that it will often add a single word that completely changes the answer and makes it incorrect. It gives you what it thinks you're looking for instead of the actual facts you need. The simple change from "are" to "aren't" completely inverted the meaning.

Feel like there's been a bunch of movies with romances between older women and younger men lately? Same! So I talked to experts, as well as people involved in these projects, about why it's happening, what it means, and most of all, why viewers may feel weird about it.

A spate of successful new films are chronicling romances between women and much-younger men, from Anne Hathaway to Renée Zellweger on board.

#CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld got put under the microscope of Marvel fans almost immediately, with word of reshoots, changes, and more. So, I talked to director Julius Onah about how the process actually went -- including how he dealt with leaks happening in real time.

For whatever reason — read: because he’s apparently just too pure and polite — Paddington doesn’t seem to hit as hard in the states, but I really believe we’d all be a little better off if more people went to see these films.
Went to the pictures today and half the cinemas in the picturehouse were booked with the new Captain America movie and most people there were there to see Paddington In Peru lol

True story, the first time my family and I ever saw the commercial for the Shake Weight was during an episode of SNL. We thought it was a sketch. I half expected it to show up in that commercial montage for #SNL50

I have nothing but respect for this dress and this choice. HOWEVER. It feels like a missed opportunity to *only* load it with popcorn. Use one of the pockets to add candy, or a drink, or just like, a buttload of napkins. Gotta play the long game with this one. #SNL50
Emma Stone in the popcorn dress is 10/10. Love it.

Went and saw Taylor Tomlinson at the Chicago Theatre tonight and guys, I think this is one of the keys to surviving these next years. Take time out to go actively partake in laughter with a room full of people. It felt so good to just sit and be delighted with friends.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD was just kind of...fine, for me. It has some interesting ideas, and Mackie is in his groove, but the struggles with rewrites/reshoots showed. Most of the parts I didn't enjoy just came down to sloppiness and/or laziness (see especially: the stinger).
