Enten: "This is probably the worst 10 day period for the president in the polls his entire second term. The numbers are just atrocious ... when your best poll has you 14 points underwater, you know it's truly bad and it's as bad as 26 points underwater ... -43 with independents! They despise him."

Once you start arguing quality losses, the whole concept of sports goes out the window
My controversial college football take is that three-loss teams shouldn’t be in the playoff conversation in any serious capacity. Two-loss teams can freely state their case, but only respectfully and without a sense of entitlement whatsoever; you’re still lucky to be there.

Hey, I'm going to take a scroll through these wishes and call out a few that I find extra adorable. They're all be under $100. Let's end a mostly crappy week in this country by granting some wishes for kids in foster care.
🧵 We are, in fact, doing the thing again for @onesimplewish.bsky.social. In 2024, the kind people of this community put the money cannon on blast to help grant $75K in wishes for children in foster care. Toys, tech, a suit for job interviews. Here we go again! 👇

New in PN: @mattgertz.bsky.social on the Orbanization of the press

"Everyone just accepts that of course the FCC will only allow a merger if it goes to a person that Trump wants to own it. That’s a very precipitous decline in our broad public assumptions of how govt power is supposed to be wielded"
The Orbanization of the American press
"The really unnerving thing is Trump using state power to influence who a company gets sold to," Matt Gertz tells us.

I’ve always maintained the number one thing stopping a Trump 2028 will be the ambition of the Republicans who went along with everything he wanted since 2016. Of course Cruz wants to run. Just like Vance, Rubio, Noem, and so many more.
LMAO -- Ted Cruz is on Fox News talking about running for president in 2028

NYC, New Jersey and Virginia are (rightly) leading the headlines, but don’t sleep on major wins for Democrats in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Georgia Public Service Commission, and the deep red Mississippi senate. There is a clear message being sent, and pendulum being swung, against Trump 2.0
