It's always interesting when you run into someone on the ladder trying to figure out the same interactions/deck. OPP was using Obsessive Pursuit paired with Rottenmouth Viper. I used Earthbender Ascension with Icetill Explorer and Fabled Passage, and it ran him over in 2 of our 3 games.

Badgermole Cub reminds me of when Lotus Cobra came out. Magic had recently come up with the new mythic rarity and we were assured it would not be used for tournament staples you would typically run 4x in your deck. Then Lotus Cobra came out as mythic & immediately shot up to like $25 a pop.🤷♂️

My current belief is that Badgermole Cub is a great example of a card that is pushed and a top tier strategy, but it's not broken. It's a perfect, toe-the-line-but-don't-go-over-it design.
So, from my first few days with the new standard.
1. Badermole is pretty powerful if it doesnt eat a removal spell.
2. Wan Shi Tong is just very good.
3. Ally deck is a legit thing.
4. Lesson deck is a legit thing.
5. Ascension cycle is doing work in deck.
6. Obsessive Pursuit is doing work.

My current belief is that Badgermole Cub is a great example of a card that is pushed and a top tier strategy, but it's not broken. It's a perfect, toe-the-line-but-don't-go-over-it design.
Badgermole Cub is great, but these two cards go together HARD AF. With one Fabled Passage in the graveyard I was throwing counters around everywhere.

I’m pretty sure this was the 2nd movie I ever got to watch in theaters. The first of course being The Transformers which came out the same year in the summer. I have no memory of the adults in my life thinking poorly of this movie. I seem to remember it making some of them cry. It’s a good movie.
It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life
