PLEASE don’t buy into Amazon’s booksale this week.

They are intentionally trying to eat into profits from Indie Bookstore Day this weekend, a really important annual event for our important community institutions.

Check out your local fave or bookshop.org.

1. Jose Hermosillo is US citizen who was wrongly jailed in an immigration detention facility for 10 days

The administration says he "turned himself in" to the Border Patrol and told them he was a Mexican who crossed the border illegally.

I interviewed Hermosillo.

He says the government is lying.

Since the highest officials of our 'government' have stated that people with autism will "never write a poem" or live beautiful lives, I'm sharing this poem written by an autistic child.

She used my poetry prompts that show everyone has a voice within.

I know you aren't going to want to hear this but the reason the system can deport Mahmoud Khalil and send Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador is that for years we've been executing factually innocent people like Marcellus Williams and sending legally innocent people to places like Riker's Island.

Regardless of legal status or alleged criminal activity no one should be deported/certainly not sent to a foreign gulag & we should stand up w/o condition for the most vulnerable. I also dont think ppl who are raising alarms abt what could soon be done to citizens too are trying to minimize that...
