Meat politics in America might be the only thing more cursed than car politics in America. Either way it’s fuckin close
i'm convinced if we ever tried to touch the rail of meat politics in America (something that's going to eventually need to happen in order to reduce CO2 emissions), it would lead to a huge right-wing shock
remembering the time a random catholic priest got mad at me about a hypothetical about the government restricting meat production on the other site
meat politics is going to be insane for the next Dem administration which takes climate change seriously, imo

idk man, when in doubt, it's a helluva lot easier and cheaper and more humane to invest in keeping people out of homelessness than to spend money pushing the unhoused around from damp sidewalk to damp sidewalk. rental/food assistance over sweeps all day any day

Portland's FX2 dares to ask the question: what if a bus rapid transit line came infrequently, had very little dedicated right-of-way, and had to stop for at-grade train crossings.

Our amendment doesn’t cut those things.
Mayor Wilson could’ve called me to clarify and ask questions before blasting us in a newsletter, but of course he has to find a scapegoat when he doesn’t magically end homelessness on 12/1 by warehousing people.
Looking forward to clarifying this tomorrow.

The Impact Reduction Program also provides trash abatement, which is essential in maintaining clean, walkable sidewalks for all Portlanders. We shouldn‘t cut their budget.

As someone that has probably given dems more benefit of the doubt than i should over the years, i feel this immensely. Just about everybody has gotta go
not to be vengeful but i want all of us to remember this exact feeling the next time anyone pops off with some apologia for weak willed self serving democrats as if any of these fuckers deserve the benefit of the doubt

What's materially changed? A *promise* is not action. ALSO fascists lie and I've been told by some Senate Dems that the GOP is fascist.
