I think games are the best media going right now.
Many are narratively as compelling as movies and to some degree, books, and the art direction has become massively innovative.
But maybe the best thing about games is it's completely interactive media. It's not passive. You're actively engaged.

One bit of old MonHun jank I dearly miss was getting hit so hard by a Monster that they knocked me out of bounds and into the next areas loading screen. It's nice that the technology has progressed to more seamless battlefields, but I'll always think back fondly to the hilarity of old limitations.
