At COP30 Canada just got awarded the fossil of the day — first time since 2014 (the harper years). Clear sign of how Carney’s pro fossil fuel agenda and backsliding on climate policy is being noticed internationally.

A note on the BTS on this: the province "embargoed" this and held an info session and press conference Monday morning but made media sign a thing promising not to publish until it was tabled that afternoon. Then we were told it was embargoed until Wednesday, then it's released today w/ no notice.
Uh... so we're talking about this now?

BC's power grid is already overextended based on the province's plans for electrifying current and future industrial expansion.

Apparently now we're also going to power the Yukon. 🙃

Prime Minister Mark Carney may have put the Yukon-B.C. grid connection on the latest list of nation-building projects, but Yukoners are no closer to knowing when they can tap into B.C. hydro.

Even from the gov that brought you the "Zionist Palestinian state", this is utterly appalling.

A Trumpian border interrogation?

Richard Falk is no national security threat. He's a legend of international law.

The PM should apologize personally.

Excellent context on Carney’s announcement yesterday in Terrace: “At Thursday’s announcement, Carney sidestepped sticky questions around the U.S. investment in Ksi Lisims and opposition from other First Nations in the region.”
In Terrace yesterday, Prime Minister Mark Carney sidestepped questions about US ownership and First Nations opposition to the Ksi Lisims LNG export terminal, which has been added to a list of projects the feds plan to expedite.

NEW: Canada's Major Projects Office plans to expedite Ksi Lisims LNG and "associated infrastructure," clearly the planned North Coast Transmission Line, PM Carney just announced in Terrace.

Unclear what this means, exactly, when both feds and BC approved Ksi Lisims in September.

It's outrageous that news outlets would be treated as commercial FOI applicants when they are requesting documents on behalf of the public.

I hope @editorthuncher.bsky.social filed a complaint. I would love to see the @oipcbc.bsky.social take a stand on this.
