Fun film fact. In Escape from New York (1981) they used reflective tape on a miniature model of the city & filmed it under black light to approximate 'cutting-edge' wireframe CG, which would have blown the budget at the time.

If you’re super-rich, you will be surrounded by yes-men (yes-women, yes-people). Either you’ll assume this is because you’re a genius & become a massive dickhead, or you’ll realise they’re all after your money & become hopelessly insecure. Those are your choices. Being super-rich is bad for people.

One of the most cheering things about working in the bookshop is the number of children and teenagers who come in really excited about reading and buying books. People grumble that kids today don't read, but given the right encouragement, they do.
