This is one of the most horrific and disturbing stories I have ever read into. Those poor women and children. And a filthy, rotten to the core, police dept who enabled a serial rapist for years. May there be justice somehow.

I’m so sick of the narrative that a diverse hire is somehow inherently less qualified... that ‘leveling the hiring playing field’ must also mean that you are lowering standards. It’s ridiculous and I see far too many people acquiescing to that false premise.
