As with our case involving Peter Sean Brown and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, another native-born U.S. citizen is reportedly held in ICE detention near Tallahassee.
🚨A U.S. born citizen was arrested in Florida for entering the state as an “unauthorized alien.” His mother and a community advocate showed his birth certificate during a hearing in Leon County. The judge said she had no authority to release him.

"It's not about the immigrants," his sister, told NBC10 Boston. "It's coming to us Americans, and it's going to go after all of us."

I would love for members of the house to say what's their red line? What gets them to file articles of impeachment? At what point has an administration official crossed a line that means for you to uphold your oath you submit articles of impeachment?

What happened today is just the most recent and potentially most dangerous symptom of the ethical vacancy in DC. Positions of trust like lawyer and judge and doctor and even gov't employee all have strict ethics because of the dangers to the people they serve if they don't follow them.

Incredible. The Trump administration calculated "tariff rates" by taking the US trade deficit with the respective country and dividing it by the country's exports to the US. And then the tariff rate of the US is often just set by cutting that made-up "tariff rate" in half.

The fact that the Department of Justice has not, and will never, launch an investigation into this massive national security breach tells you all you need to know about this lawless and profoundly corrupt Administration.

This will absolutely negatively affect the US auto industry. We have such a deeply integrated economy with our friends in Canada that a tax increase on imported car parts ends up being a tax on American cars.
Trump places 25% tariff on imported autos, expecting to raise $100 billion in tax revenues
President Donald Trump says he is placing 25% tariffs on auto imports, a move the White House claims will foster domestic manufacturing but could also put a financial squeeze on automakers that depend...

1/ Important legal 🧵

This is problematic & weaponizes sanctions against attorneys litigating against the federal government.

I’ve had attorneys try to use sanctions as an intimidation tactic under the guise that my clients’ lawsuits are frivolous. I fought back and won each time.

But it’s
It’s a long “memorandum,” but it’s essentially telling Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem to go after lawyers who challenge the federal government — which is many lawyer’s jobs.

It’s basically a catch-all “let’s Paul Weiss whoever pisses us off” memo.

Ditto. Due process is fundamental to a functioning country and we must protect it from those who want to destroy it.

This is horrible. It was not long ago where travel between our countries didn't even require a passport. To shut down access a small town library in the name of national security is just ridiculous and helps no one.
US decision to limit Canadian access to border-straddling library prompts outpouring of emotion
The town of Stanstead, Quebec, says U.S. authorities have unilaterally decided to “close the main Canadian access” to the Victorian-style library that straddles the border between the two countries.

Process isn't sexy. It isn't cool. It is often boring and tedious but it helps to keep us safe. Anyone who wants to bulldoze process when it comes to people's lives is a dangerous person and should not be anywhere near power.
