I'm not really disputing that it's a lot, to be clear. I'm saying that in comparison to a lot of daycare rates over here, it's pretty good. I know people who spend $2000+ USD on daycare monthly over here. That doesn't mean your rate is reasonable; it just means ours is extra insane.

To give you an idea, I am going to be paying $300+ (US$) weekly for 3 days a week for my infant. That is the best rate I have found in my city. And I'm lucky that I can afford that; many people simply can't.
