Of the 4000 researchers at NIH, only 20% are tenured. They’re going to fire all the rest as their contracts come up for renewal, absolutely decimating research at the NIH. This is catastrophic, not just for Americans, but for the whole world.

one of the most effective things that can be done to remove musk from power *and* break the republican party is destabilize and destroy tesla's market position, because wrecking tesla's largest shareholder means wrecking the republican party's primary financier
which is why the Tesla takedown stuff matters
i think they mostly fear musk's ability to pay to primary each and every single republican member of congress, because a lot of their donors dried up in 2024 and are even less likely to bail them out in 2026

Pretty clear that America's richest people got together in a room some time over the last 5 years & decided that Americans have gotten uppity -- demanding better wages & working conditions, asking for humane corporate policy & an end to racism -- and that they needed to be put in their place.
