it might seem surprising that the people who said “look, let trans people live their lives, but i have Reasonable Concerns about sports and toilets” aren’t up in arms about this, but what you have to remember is that those people who said that are liars who were lying

"The only way to stop bullies is to stand up to them. Anti-trans campaigners have been making legal threats, trying to force trans people out of public life. They thought after the SC decision the whole world would suddenly agree with them. But they've misunderstood the law, as well as human nature"

Groups, who want to include trans people, being told who they can and cannot associate with undermines all of our human rights.

This is a failure of this Government to act decisively and provide clarity on how to remain inclusive.

Who does this protect?

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

the bbc changed their article from saying 'trans woman' to saying 'biological male who identifies as a woman'.

even if you don't care about trans ppl it should alarm you just how captured the bbc has become.

they will no longer even say 'trans woman'. that's not normal and shows massive bias.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

The trans community’s trust in the NHS’ new puberty blocker trial is low and I can’t help but wonder whether they could have prevented that by involving ANY trans people in its design or operation, and maybe not involving several people who have attended conferences of anti-LGBTQ hate groups

History has produced men more evil than Elon. There have also been stupider men than Elon. But history has never before brought us a man so singularly, transcendentally pathetic than Elon. The Angel of History beholds him and cringes so hard that entire centuries of memory vanish from its mind
I guess one difference between me and Elon Musk is that, if I was gaming an AI to say these things about me, and everyone could see that I had done this, I'd have simply no choice but to set myself on fire.

Feels like it should be bigger news that a journalist known for being loud about her investigations into banks/payment processors appears to be getting financially stonewalled by the entire industry unaminously right now.
The full count as of today:

YouTube suspended
Twitch banned 3x
Patreon suspended (temporary)
Patreon 3x audio flags (one false posi)
Ko-fi suspended (indefinite?)
Buy Me a Coffee suspended
Vice reporting censored
Pornhub censored 3x times
Fansly censored 1x
Is it really a conspiracy to say Ana is being explicitly flagged by finance bros when she's now been banned (or censored) from Twitch, Patreon, Buy Me A Coffee, Ko-Fi, and *PornHub*??

The whole point of this is the cruelty and sadism. Labour are pandering to their contemptuous vision of the British public as a rabble of mindless racists who want to relish the sight of poor, helpless, racialised people abused; who see those people as inhuman and want them treated as such.
For fairly obvious reasons when people flee their countries of origin to seek asylum elsewhere they can't carry much. Often things like jewellery are all they have to hold onto. This isn't just stripping people of "assets", it is stealing their memories. 57/

Context for ppl not in the know: tribunal tweets are a group of anti trans activists that sit in at court hearings gathering intelligence on details that can't be published while publishing dubiously reliable transcripts of court hearings.
Tribunal Tweets put out that they were reviewing their notes to "allow identification" of the anonymous claimants. Obviously an error – though it remained up for two hours – but perhaps highlights the wisdom of the court in refusing them permission to live tweet highly sensitive proceedings.

What bothers me is that impartiality and balance are two different and incompatible things. Impartiality means that you don't intervene to put your thumb on the scales. Balance necessarily requires that you intervene to artificially make every issue look like a 50/50.

The BBC are under fire over "censorship"of right wing views lately but here they censor the language of their own executive complaints unit, replacing the neutral and internationally accepted term "trans identity", with the politically partisan and inherently trans-skeptical term, "trans ideology".
In this piece, admitting the BBC has broken its impartiality rules re. trans people, the BBC further breaks its impartiality rules by changing a quote saying "trans identity" to "trans ideology".
