Leave it to the HHS boys to depathologized HRT in order to pathologize menopause. “HRT has saved marriages, rescued women from depression, prevented children from going without a mother,” Dr. Makary said.
Premiums/cost of living/inflation are going up up up while reimbursement is going down down down, specifically a 2.5% cut to work RVU every 3 years, starting Jan 2026.
Who in their right mind would pick this job*? In this economy?!

I strongly endorse this, mostly for women. Most men don’t have this imbalance. But just try it out! It’s very useful.

My solo surgical practice gets its health insurance (HMO, *very* high deductible plan) at a group rate (i.e. not on the ACA marketplace) and even this plan is going up by 21.5% for next year. (It typically has increased by 2-4% per year.)

A preschooler bringing a loaded gun to show-and-tell should shock everyone, but in a country awash in easily accessible guns, it sadly comes as no surprise. In fact, a child gains access to a loaded firearm and unintentionally shoots themself or someone else nearly every day in the US.
