It’s fine and right that farmers can take their protest to the powers-that-be and, as here, block roads.

Ditto climate protestors, of course.

It’s wrong that only climate protestors get jailed.

Cars are responsible for thousands of deaths each year, thousands more serious, sometimes life-changing injuries, all whilst polluting our air with asthma-causing and carcinogenic particles - if any other consumer item caused this much damage, it would be banned.

More excellent writing from the Papua New Guinea Courier. Wondering why this journalist has not been picked up by a bigger publication.
NEW: I've just been passed this excellent article from the Papua New Guinea Courier's London correspondent.

For too long, the importance of car parking spaces being available to shops has been overstated.

But in fact, a new report out today shows that pedestrians spend more money than people arriving by car, and pedestrianised town centres have higher sales.

Facts on Farm Inheritance Tax.

Only affects farms worth over £3m.
Only half tax above that.
Can be paid off over up to ten years.

There are 40 billionaire landowners, and 1500+ with more than £100m who are affected by this.

They are the ones complaining.
