Rams fans want the refs to make the right call now.
Whatever. Rams didn't deserve to win after spotting Atlanta 3 touchdowns, but you gotta call the PI when it happens refs.

Very funny that the entire Rams org/fan base has the position that the refs should've gotten the call wrong on purpose because they really wanted it
Not the Seahawks angry at the results of a nonsensical video replay lmaoooo sucks don't it

the line is actually "no JESUS for us meeses," an oblique reference to the fact that, as muppets are unable to take communion, they are forbidden from entering the kingdom of god

RFK Jr is going to be responsible for millions of deaths. So you absolutely do not have to excuse the behavior of someone who enabled and defended him.
Everyone in my feed is shitting on Nuzzi. Meanwhile, the other person in the saga is now destroying the medical community and endangering public health.

But let’s slut shame Nuzzi.
Scoop: Olivia Nuzzi has written a book during her year in exile, in which she is set to in part address her relationship with RFK Jr. Details in @status.news: www.status.news/p/olivia-nuz...

Safe to say that if your priors on LLMs haven't shifted dramatically over the past two weeks, you probably haven't been paying attention

I'm not among those who think that there's no path to profitability for AI. I think the bigger issue for the incumbents is the commoditization of AI.
The AI Trade is hollow - the magnificent 7 will spend over $560 billion in capital expenditures in 2025 and is expected to make *$35 billion of revenue, not profit*. Every single generative AI product is a money-loser, and customers don't like it either.

It's gotta be tough to be Quebecois.
People hear your accent and think you're French.
And you gotta say "no, I'm Quebecois".
Like the "is Pepsi okay?" of people

Quick read this time - The Word For World Is Forest by Ursula K Le Guin is a novella tipping the scales at just 189 pages.

From the beginning you can feel the anti-colonialism dripping from every word. It's easy to read this as a response to the Vietnam war, written in 1972 by an anti-war activist.
Just finished This Is The Story Of A Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett, which is a collection of autobiographical essays most previously published in magazines.

This book negatively polarized me against Ann Patchett who seems to think a lot of herself and have a general disdain for everyone else.

As bad as this is, I'm growing increasingly worried that the AI stuff in the funding bill and tech execs cuddling up to the current admin are related or possibly even the cause of this mindset. Which would be much much worse.
Brooke Rollins on farm laborers: "There will be no amnesty. The mass deportations continue, but in a strategic way. And we move the workforce toward automation and 100% American participation, which with 34 million able-bodied on Medicaid we should be able to do fairly quickly."

The first season of Murderbot has been a fun watch so far that is staying at least tonally true to the books.

But my first thought after every episode is "wow that was short". 22 min weekly releases feels completely out of whack with what tv watching is nowadays.

I thought the recent switch to focus on blue cities only was because Trump finally realized how badly he was hurting farmers and small business owners with his plan, but this is actually a way funnier and more likely reason.

I think about this a lot with AI where many scenarios lead to an improved quality of life for everybody.

Cuban's comments about using the block feature are odd here. He seems to be saying that if you don't like what he has to say you should just block him, but he doesn't feel like he should have to block you.
The problems with Bluesky are true with every other platform. It's not that it's a bubble, though. It's that people feel a desire to protect a place they like.

I don't agree with Cuban here but I think we need to come up with ways to not let this become its story.

Bluesky is backfiring. Mark Cuban says the 'lack of diversity of thought' is actually pushing users back to X
The billionaire argues Bluesky’s liberal-heavy user base creates an echo chamber.
