Trans, bisexual, tired. Always thinking about sci-fi and fantasy.
A very serviceable squire.

Tomorrow is the tenth anniversary of the death of Leelah Alcorn. She was a trans girl who was 17 years old when she died.
I want you all to remember her with me.

if people’s kids are going hungry and it turns out the money for it went to the gold ballroom and they’re refusing to pay up because they can’t, I think one very particular category of French antiques will be coming back in fashion right quick if you know what I mean
Ain’t no way they would be fighting THIS hard to *not* pay out everyone’s SNAP if they truly had it on hand.

We collected 72 letters. 🏳️‍⚧️ I am very tired but also very proud.
I am hosting a two-day letter-writing campaign to fight the Indiana BMV about gender markers on IDs.

Last night I got Presbyterian retirees and the cutest trans 20 year olds together over a table of stationary and homemade cookies. It was heartwarming af.

I'm throwing an open house so people can come and write letters to yell at the BMV about the transphobic and discriminatory bullshit they are proposing.

I've got 15 people coming so far, but I'm hoping for more.

Being trans is so funny.

A wacky combination of hilarious social discomfort and well-intentioned misunderstandings AND my elected officials openly premeditating the murder of myself and everyone like me.

Update: I got 414 trick or treaters this year! My favorite costumes of the night were all the versions of Wednesday Addams and an itty bitty tiny kid dressed as the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar. 🥹
I love Halloween. I love handing out candy, seeing kids in costumes...it's the best. The packs of roving teens are my favorite, but the tiny kids who are absolutely terrified to speak to me, a stranger, are also really cute.

Explaining to a particularly elderly nun what fan fiction is, and why I don't see any reason why she shouldn't write some if she wants to.

i'm angry at myself for depriving myself of this for so long

but i'm also angry at the world that told me over and over and over that i would become a pariah, or a danger to children, or in danger, and made me so, so afraid to reach out and take what i knew i wanted a decade ago

I can't tell you how devastating it feels to watch the US government put a flag on the USDA website blaming immigrants and trans people for people being denied food.

I am deeply annoyed that my time must be spent arguing with the Indiana BMV about how it is just common sense and human decency to let people update the gender marker on their IDs...

Good news everyone, I got a hysterectomy two weeks ago and am feeling great.

I would love for a single democrat to reckon with the fact that conservatives are not in fact motivated by reasonable concerns. They are — just as they were with ‘concerns’ over blacks and gays and numerous other minorities over the last five decades — motivated by bigotry.

I need to watch the new Wuthering Heights film and the new Frankenstein film, but I need to watch it with people who aren't going to find me absolutely insufferable when I talk about them afterwards

I try not to have strong opinions about the imaginary personal feelings that a dead person would have if they were alive ..

But I very strongly believe Wilde would have been a big fan of trans people and our whole deal.
It legitimately made me gasp a little to see notorious transphobe Graham Linehan compared to, of all people, Oscar Wilde. That is WILDLY offensive
man he was inciting people to beat the shit out of trans women. fuck your "free speech" bullshit, he wanted people to kill me and my friends.

shame on @khanna.house.gov

One of my favorite things about the Art Institute of Chicago is the strong showing of depictions of John the Baptist, and the varying degrees of sexiness thereof.

Like, step aside, John the Beloved, we need to look at your man's hot cousin for a second..
