I'm really glad I saw it in theaters, but watching it at home where I can pause and enjoy the details is going to be a treat for me. And I wish so much I could get to see the costume pieces in person! The people who worked on those should be very proud.

I agree, it made me really happy to watch. All of the drama with the color choices and the shapes of windows...made my brain feel like it was making happy whirring sounds like a robot? Like it was enjoying all the input while also trying to keep up with processing? Hard to explain. 😅

Civic engagement can be exhausting (especially in a red state) but it also puts the heart back into me.

And it makes me feel like all my experience cooking for a large family is actually a valuable political tool!

I adore your freckles for their own sake, but do they also make me love my own freckles? Yes. I sometimes forget how great freckles are and it's nice to be reminded.

Chaotic fairy: "I didn't gender transition anyone! I 'cursed' their spine and gave them endometriosis! What, we're not allowed to give humans physical maladies anymore??"

*Camera cuts to a very queer person, happily looking in a mirror*

Older fairy: "....*sighs, pinches bridge of nose*

Older and less chaotic fairy: "You need to stop gender transitioning humans. I know the nonbinary ones are your favorite, but you are going to get in trouble."

This feels like the plot of a fairytale about a good but chaotic fairy, who knows that there is a law of magic about how they can't gender transition anyone but they still INSIST on finding loopholes for their pet human.

I might hate my elected officials, but I love the people in my community.

It pisses me off that we have to take so much time out of our busy schedule of doing Fun Queer Activities to fight for basic human decency in our state, but so it goes!

So much of this experience would be so easy to laugh about! I can't help but see the comedy of my situation!

But it would be far easier to enjoy that comedy if it weren't for all the terrors being visited upon us by oligarchs and demagogues!

I agree. He's a wonderful actor, and given how rough some of the material he was given was, I was very impressed with what he managed to do with it.

You look so cool!! The weather is a real problem for my costume dreams... I had a hobbit costume that I tried to layer some thermals under but I still froze about halfway through the annual spooky story contest at the park.

I love that you are prepared! I was SO excited that I ended up in a neighborhood that treats Halloween like the biggest day of the year.

I always sit outside with the candy instead of making them ring the bell. We get literally hundreds of kids each year in a steady stream, so there's really no point in trying to go indoors until the event ends or we run out of candy.

i'm angry at myself for depriving myself of this for so long

but i'm also angry at the world that told me over and over and over that i would become a pariah, or a danger to children, or in danger, and made me so, so afraid to reach out and take what i knew i wanted a decade ago
