Taxing wealth fairly is incredibly popular: 75% of the public support a wealth tax of 1% on assets above £10 million.

Inequality is a huge threat facing our country - why won't the govt tackle it? Tax wealth, invest in communities, and build a fairer future for everyone.
What tax reforms do Britons say they would support in principle? (1/2)

-Wealth tax: 75% support
-Mansion tax: 69%
-Exit tax: 60%
-Make council tax proportionate to home value: 56%
-Peg tax thresholds to inflation: 52%
-Increase employer's NI for foreign workers: 50%

What kind of system would allow someone so demonstrably inappropriate to have such wealth and power?

Nadine Dorries joining Reform isn’t a shock. It’s logical for a politics of cruelty, corruption, and the collapse of neoliberalism.

The rise of Reform is the fault of a failing Labour Government & their vapid politics.

We're growing the alternative.

Time we stopped subsidising dirty energy.
The CCC report shows some movement towards trying to keep us all safe, but not nearly fast enough.

It’s time to stop throwing money at the likes of Shell and BP.

Govt subsidises the fossil fuel industry by £17.5BILLION/year – let's put that into lowering bills instead.

You know we're getting it wrong when air travel is cheaper than rail.
📈 Today rail fares rise by 4.6%.

✈️ Rail trips are on average twice as expensive as domestic flights.

🚆 We could tax air travel fairly, raising billions to invest in our railways and bring down fares, making the green option the easiest and cheapest option.

This is absolutely terrible news! Such a key species in ecosystems cannot be allowed to decline so rapidly, or it will spell huge trouble for all others.
