Time to leave Bolzano, and I do that with a sense of great admiration for the field of single molecule protein sequencing #SMPS2025. A superfast moving field, and I’m asked looking forward to the next edition in Thailand. Hopefully I can present our contributions then as well!

The final version of our Nature Chemistry paper on the first artificial catch bond system is out! We've finally been able to do what nature has implemented throughout living systems: bonds that strengthen under external applied tension. Great work from Wageningen @w-u-r.bsky.social.
