It occurred to me that many Americans are experiencing for the first time a feeling that Black, brown, and Indigenous people have had since forever. Fear and distrust of this government.

Not a “gotcha” statement; it’s my observation.

I hope you have community to lean into. All of us.

This would make more sense if this were an episode of The Twilight Zone.
RFK Jr said he wants to send folks who are taking antidepressants and ADHD medications to "wellness farms" in rural America where they will be forced to labor by growing organic food to "cure their addictions."

The farms will "reparent" them.

The termination of 850 Indian Health Service physicians, nurses, and dentists will have a grave impact on access to care for millions of Native Americans.

Upholding our treaty obligations is not optional.

We are pretty much the only post-apocalyptic populations native to this land.

There’s hard-fought wisdom in that, as horrifying as it was/is. There’s understandings of community care and interdependence in that. There’s teachings on the absolute necessity for joy in that.
This is the time for America to listen to the people who have experience with colonization and/or authoritarian regimes. You need us. Before it’s too late.

It’s Black History Month, friends. 🫶🏽

We have NEVER required the acknowledgment of a colonizing occupier, to see one another’s beauty, share our stories with each other.

This is a chilling read by @usha.bsky.social. We now live in a time when advisory board members to government agencies expect to be fired for doing their jobs.

9 of 12 members of the CDC’s advisory board wrote a letter to the director asking why data had been removed, whether that was legal, how… +

Wow. Caroline Kennedy breaks her silence on RFK Jr in a message to Senators: “We grew up together. It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because Bobby himself is a predator. He enjoyed showing off by putting baby chickens & mice in a blender to feed to his hawks.”
