If you know anyone with a baby under 8 months old or under 2 years old with heart/lung, please make sure they get the RSV vaccine ASAP. Already seeing positive tests, and this is the first advance that really works for all babies that I’ve seen in over 25 years of being a pediatrician. 1/2

BILL BURR: “There’s nothing wrong with being a billionaire, but if someone’s working 40 hours/week and can’t make rent you’re not paying them enough… maybe you should just be worth $900 Million. How do you take an 8 figure bonus and none of your employees have dental insurance?”

“I represent 67,000 pediatricians across the country. … Let's be perfectly clear, this bill will cause devastating impacts to children. And while children only represent 22% of our population, they represent 100% of the future”. - @AmerAcadPeds President Dr. Susan Kressly

Does anyone else hear “The Other Side” from The Greatest Showman and think…

….this could be a conversation between a pediatrician (or family medicine doctor) and literally any specialist?

(Listen to it with this new perspective and tell me what you think.)

If your child is otw healthy & thriving, w/no abdominal pain or allergic reactions after eating certain foods, there is absolutely 0 reason to order a “food sensitivity” panel—which, by the way, isn’t covered by insurance—& then restrict their diet from foods they’ve eaten for years w/0 any issues.🤦🏼‍♀️

How does our country survive?

How do we protect the children of the world?

How do we adapt while staying true to our values?

And, what steps will the next leaders have to take to fix things?

How long will that take?

These are the questions I ask myself daily.

Guess who helps us recall products that have lead paint? Or that cause sleep-related deaths in babies?

Do we want a healthier America or an America with no rules? Because some rules are actually quite useful…

Sick visit for a 2 year old with a cough.
Dad: Shows me a photo of a bottle of cough medicine they have been giving. Points to the word "homeopathic" and asks what it means.
Me: It means "Waste of Money."

Warmer weather is here in #Alabama - and, with it, an increase in injuries, bug bites, and rashes!

So, let’s talk about how to prevent/treat them:

This is a great reminder for anyone who worries that vaccines may leave kids with neurodevelopmental challenges…

…vaccine-preventable diseases DEFINITELY cause these challenges and they are largely prevented by vaccines
