Same. Sometimes, the name given at birth is not our “identity”. But, nevertheless, this bill is RIDICULOUS!

#Pediatrician friends, what injuries do you see commonly and your office and what would you like parents to know about them?

To prevent them,
1) move hot food further onto the counter or stove so that they are out of reach of tiny hands;
2) supervise kids taking hot food out of the microwave (or have an adult do it);
Or, 3) consider an alternative way to prepare the noodles.

I’ll start with an injury that happens all year long: instant noodle scar #burns.

These occur when a child reaches upwards to grab instant noodles off of a counter or out of the microwave.

In this position, bowls and cups frequently tip and splash scolding water onto faces, hands, and trunks.

Wish I could be there with y’all! Speak up boldly and bravely for kids and those who care for them!
