If a general was planning on using the military to illegally go after US citizens in the US, yes the judge would be able to order them to stop. The military is not above the rule of law.

They're setting the stage for martial law.

NMEC plans to comply with DOJ threats. This email was sent out Wednesday night to staff, but it noticeably doesn't mention anything specifically about LGBTQIA+ kids or DOJ, just general compliance with executive orders:
Good Evening NCMEC- I'm sorry for the late night email! It's been a busy year so far and I wanted to take a moment to share some updates with you. Monday evening, NCMEC was contacted by our primary grantor and directed to review all public-facing platforms (i.e. web, social media, publications, training materials, etc.) to ensure that NCMEC materials are in compliance with the spirit of the President's Executive Orders. NCMEC was given a Friday deadline to comply. As we navigate change, I want to reassure you that NCMEC's mission remains steadfast to find missing children, stop child sexual exploitation and prevent these crimes from happening in the first place. On another note, over the past year we've been updating NCMEC's policies and procedures included in both the POM and Employee Handbook. Soon, you'll be receiving an email with an annual required employee acknowledgement. It's been several years since we have updated these documents, so I encourage you to review them. In addition to updating existing policies, there are new policies such as "Social Media" and "Representation as a NCMEC Employee". The former will provide some rules of the road when intersecting non-work-related social media accounts and the NCMEC brand, while the latter will help standardize how we represent ourselves as NCMEC employees both internally and externally (e.g. business cards, Email, Teams, Zoom). Each of you makes NCMEC the tremendous organization it is, and I thank you for your patience and dedication.
