‘Buddo’ - a rare representation of a human figure from the British Neolithic, dating to around 2900-2400 BC. Discovered at Skara Brae in the mid-C19th, it was re-discovered amongst the archaeological collections at Stromness Museum in 2016. 📸 My own. #FindsFriday #Archaeology

In the future people aren’t going to believe that he was screaming “NO DON’T TELL PEOPLE WHAT I DID” and was still fully supported by all these weirdo losers.

I feel like Senator Warren summed up my three reactions with comforting eloquence.
Let's be clear: no one should be taking medical advice from the man who told Americans to inject bleach.

To moms worried about the Tylenol they took while pregnant: you deserve better than being RFK Jr's scapegoat.

And to the autism community: you are loved exactly as you are.

I've often wondered how people could vote against their own best interests. Sometimes, the FAFO schadenfreude is momentarily soothing. But listening to my favorite talking heads work so hard to disingenuously avoid misogynoir (or sexism or racism individually, pick one!) as a factor is fatiguing.

My husband and I often check in about our gratitude at having been raised by parents who loved us and made sure we knew it.

Today's (first) trigger is Tom Homan, but I'm confident there will be more.

This is a line item on my pay stub, it is not an entitlement, it is either my temporary donation to the older generation or it is my retirement to be invested by the government. In no way it is your slush fund to Mars. #socialsecurity

There's a ton of information out there on how to deal with narcissists. You would think "leveraging press attention" would be one of the most obvious tools in the box.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announces that the White House Correspondents' Association will no longer choose the pool reporter.

"Moving forward, the White House press pool will be determined by the White House press team."

As often happens, @jamelle finds the words my over-anxious brain has hidden from me.
"[For the Right], D.E.I...is the mere presence of a woman or nonwhite person or disabled or transgender person in any high-skilled, high-status position. And their alternative isn’t some heretofore unknown standard of merit; it is the reintroduction of something like segregation."

Opinion | Trump’s War on D.E.I. Is Really a War on Civil Rights
The genius of the right-wing crusade against D.E.I. is that the term is amorphous enough that it can mean many different things to many different people.

If you are a Democratic representative already sending fundraising emails, please know I sent my disposable $ to @marcelias.bsky.social for his birthday because he makes me feel like someone is taking action for our country.

THIS AMERICAN DOES NOT WANT YOU TO WORK TOGETHER WITH A FUCKING FASCIST TO FIND COMMON GROUND ON WHICH PARTS OF DEMOCRACY WE NO LONGER NEED
"It is very clear that, if there is a middle of all of this hot mess of division, Americans want us to work together when we can and find common ground," Sen. Amy Klobuchar tells the Opinion writer Michelle Cottle.

Democratic lawmakers need to understand something:

Imagine your house is on fire. Fire truck shows up. Firefighters get out. They look at the fire, then at you, and say: "Such a fire is a grave threat. This house will not sustain."

And just stand there.

This is how many of you are coming across.

Thank you to the sweet group of #Boulder carolers last night. First time in 60 Christmases on this planet that I magically opened the door to carolers. Wish I'd had some wassail for you! ♥️

At times like this, it’s just so obvious that the media thinks we’re all stupid and their little play-act of “responsible punditry” in which they shame Democrats WHILE EMPOWERING A FUCKING DICTATOR makes them seem balanced when it in fact makes them complicit.
