THANK YOU. THIS IS WHAT WE MEAN WHEN WE SAY EVERY BILLIONAIRE IS A POLICY FAILURE. IT'S THE INSTABILITY LARGE CONCENTRATIONS OF POWER CREATE. NOT THE LOST REVENUE.
“The problem with billionaires isn’t that they’re hoarding money that would otherwise pay for a Scandinavian social utopia. It’s that their money has become a source of wildly distorted political power that allows a few men with extremist views to wreak havoc on the rest of us.”

It’s very much Not Great to have GOP leadership describe a planned non violent march as being in service a the “terrorist wing”
Emmer: "This is about one thing and one thing alone -- to score political points with the terrorist wing of their party, which is set to hold a hate America rally in DC next week."

Trying to scare people. But it won't work. No one looks scared to me anymore. And it's power in numbers. All the TV hits in the world won't change the fact that when Americans see the sheer number of people out there, absolutely no one will believe anything these guys say.
Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

I cannot abide more media illiteracy.

ABC News has absolutely ZERO to do with Jimmy Kimmel. They are completely separate and distinct parts of the network. I would know. The Undefeated newsroom was in the same DC building as ABC News.

Same parent co—Disney, but zero collaboration.

I hate it here.
After many Republicans insisted that Trump wasn’t involved in the FCC’s decision to go after Jimmy Kimmel, Trump just admitted it.

Timeline looks like pressure. FCC Chair floated “easy way or hard way,” Nexstar said its ABC stations would preempt, ABC then pulled the show. Receipts in WaPo.

Nexstar’s press release says its ABC affiliates will preempt “for the foreseeable future.” That is leverage, not standards.
Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension reverberates beyond late-night TV
Critics accused ABC of bowing to President Donald Trump after it suspended Kimmel’s show over his comments about the suspect in the Charlie Kirk killing.

ABC says “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is preempted indefinitely, not canceled. I support Kimmel and want ABC to publish the written standard it believes applies here, and to use it evenly.

Private networks can pull shows. It becomes a First Amendment problem if officials coerce them.
