For far too long, corporate delivery apps have shortchanged workers to maximize profits.

This is a huge victory, bringing us one step closer to fair work and a living wage for all New Yorkers!

Earlier this month, I finally met someone I've long admired: @ajchegustavo.bsky.social‬ co-founder of Los Deliveristas Unidos. They've won important victories in NYC, including a minimum pay standard for delivery workers. He & other worker champions were honored by ‪@workersjusticep.bsky.social‬. 🔥

“After years of fighting for our community, I’ve witnessed many achievements. Seeing people feel satisfied and empowered is truly priceless. Thank you to the Worker’s Justice Project for this recognition—it’s a reminder that when we raise our voices, real change is possible

For years, DoorDash cheated its delivery workers by using customers' tips to meet its workers’ guaranteed pay instead of giving them the tips they earned.

Today, we're making DoorDash pay $16.75 million that will go back into the pockets of tens of thousands of workers.

🗣️ “Intro 606 isn’t about safety—it’s about criminalizing e-bike riders, especially #Deliveristas.

If we truly care about street safety, let’s focus on real solutions: education, better infrastructure, & worker protections.”

Today, we joined Workers Justice Project to demand DoorDash pay some 90 workers the unpaid wages they have earned.

It's past time that the New York State Department of Labor support federal protections for victims of wage theft.

🗣️ This morning, Los Deliveristas Unidos held a rally outside DoorDash HQ to demand unpaid wages, an end to unjust deactivations, and pay transparency.

A small group of Delivery workers started the movement of @LosDeliveristas with BIG dreams of being treated with respect.

My resolution is to never doubt that people like me can change the world. In 2024, I will stay committed to organize and fight through solidarity. Happy 2024!
