After an all-out campaign against a minimum wage for its workers, Instacart now claims it "supports" the bill. But that's just "a flat-out lie," said one worker advocate.

Shameful conduct by Fly. As @ligiaguallpa.bsky.social said, "Trusting that an e-bike is legitimately UL certified is paramount to ensuring the safety of the public and the tens of thousands of app delivery workers who rely on e-bikes to make a living. That dependency should not be preyed upon."

Trump and Elon are attacking our federal workers — the public servants that keep our government running, get payments to those that need them, and make sure our country functions.

Read how app companies are pouring millions into the Trump campaign to protect their profits while neglecting fair wages for workers. In NYC, these apps are heavily funding campaigns and nonprofits to buy goodwill.

Workers deserve fair pay, not corporate handouts.

The Delivery App Industry Has Abandoned Its Immigrant Workforce
Companies like DoorDash and Grubhub made a big show of standing by their workers in Trump’s first term. Now, with deportation threats looming, their silence is deafening.

While doing site visits in #Astoria, I bumped into some good old buddies doing great outreach to #DeliveryWorkers of their rights but also of their responsibilities and the laws they have to adhere to.

It’s always a great time talk to #DeliveristasUnidos and @workersjusticep.bsky.social!

How delivery workers in New York City banded together during the COVID pandemic
When the COVID pandemic erupted five years ago, the streets of New York City were desolate. Delivery workers feared they'd be robbed or attacked, and so they banded together for the first time.

🗣️ “Intro 606 isn’t about safety—it’s about criminalizing e-bike riders, especially #Deliveristas.

If we truly care about street safety, let’s focus on real solutions: education, better infrastructure, & worker protections.”

“It’s time to grant full protections to delivery workers, who can no longer afford to wait. Continuing to leave loopholes open allows corporations to bypass the minimum pay law and evade accountability.” - @ligiaguallpa.bsky.social

H.R. 9494, the attack on non-profits bill, has passed the house.

But it went from being supported by 52 Dems to just 15.

Time to get on your Senator's case and halt the bill there.
